Line WidthThe first thing to note for a basketball court is that all line markings are two inches in width. The boundary lines, the key, the half court lines and the three point line. All lines are two inches wide.

At the point where the arc is 14 feet and 1 ins from the baseline the line continues straight to the baseline parallel to the side boundary line. In college and high school courts the three point line is 19.75 feet (19 feet 9 ins) and the straight line begins 5.25 (5 ft 3 ins) feet from the baseline.The backboard and RimThe backboard should have a width of six feet and a height of 3.5 feet.
